Caramelised rye bread ice-cream (home-made)
We make this ice-cream in our own kitchen using cream and condensed milk.
The rye crumbs are made with the award-winning Lithuanian Scalded bread by caramelising them with a little utter and brown sugar to give crunch and toffee-like flavour.
Size: one pot is apprx120gr - for 2 people 1 scoop each or for 1 greedy person.
How to store: in the fridge for up to 3 months.
How to enjoy at its best: take out of the fridge 15-20 mins before eating so that the ice-cream melts a little.
Ingredients: double cream, condensed milk, a little brown sugar, rye bread crumbs (wheat flour, rye flour (29%),water, sugar, caraway seeds (1.45%), salt, rye malt, liquid malt [barley malt, wheat malt, water], fresh yeast, wheat malt, calamus leaves 0.5%), unsalted organic butter.
