Layered chicken and rice dome (Kurnik)
Kurnik is a traditional Russian celebratory layered pie. For this festive season serve it as a stunning as a centrepiece of your festive table.
We've modernised our Kurnik a little: buttery puff pastry, poached free-range chicken, long-grained rice, eggs, mushrooms and herbs. Each layer is separated by a thin pancake to retain the juices.
Gulp down with more melted butter and this organic sour cream.
Size: serves 8 generously.
How to store: in the fridge, and consume within three days.
How to warm up: in the pre-heated 180 (or 160 fan assisted) oven for 15 mins.
