Napoleon cake (mille feuille)
The Classic Russian cake of 'thousand layers' with origins in France.
Our Napoleon is not too moist, just as we like it (if you prefer a more moist cake, please email us). Flaky pastry with layers of crème pâtissière, mixed in with a little bit of whipped cream for lightness and - very important - some lemon.
About 7-8 cms high.

For a festive feel, we can decorate with a layer of pretty jelly with boules, stars and snow flakes - th examples below are to give you an idea only.
Or we could create this dashing figure of Napoleon.
Ingredients: butter, all purpose flour, eggs, sugar, whipped cream, salt, lemon juice.
